"This is the story of Rael..."

With these words, "The Lamb lies down on broadway" started on Sunday evening - performed by The Musical Box. And what a show it was! Simply incredible - it's really a must see, words can't describe it.
The band is really that close to the original and for people of my age who never had a chance to see the original (I was three years old at that time...) it's like a time machine: you think you hear original Genesis playing, Peter singing and of course you see the original show (lightning, pictures, effects etc.).
Of course, compared to the technical possibilities of our days, the effects are not that impressing, but as soon as you realize that the show is 30 years old, you start being impressed.
Now, compared with other Genesis albums, TLLDOB is imho not the best choice for a live concert - the SEBTP tour had the better songs (Suppers Ready or FoF). So, the encore after approx 2 hours TLLDOB consisting of The Musical Box and Watcher of the Skies was a welcome closure for the concert. It's really amazing to see Denis/Peter performing the story of the musical box.
Ah, and I really think the Arena in Oberhausen is one of the best places for a concert. It's the third concert I attended there and all had an excellent sound. Especially, the bass is very heavy there, the whole area was vibrating because of the deep tunes. Perfect :)
So, IT is here, IT is now - go and see them.
